Which cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how to opt out. Compliant with ePrivacy and GDPR.
Plain language summary
Tandemio uses minimal cookies. Only those strictly necessary for platform function (login, language, cart). No third-party advertising or tracking cookies in the default state.
You can manage cookies anytime in Settings → Privacy → Cookies or via the consent banner shown on first visit.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They help remember your preferences (language, login), improve performance, and measure usage.
Beyond cookies we also use similar technologies: localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB (for offline mode), and server-side session (PHP session). The same rules apply to all of them.
2. Categories
Cookies fall into 4 categories by purpose (per ICO UK / EDPB classification):
- Strictly necessary — without them the platform won’t work. Example: login, CSRF token, cart. Cannot be disabled and don’t require consent
- Functional — remember your preferences. Example: language (
tandemio_lang), dark / light mode. Consent required - Analytics — anonymous aggregated usage data. Example: Plausible, GA4. Consent required
- Marketing — only enabled if you explicitly opt in for Brand campaigns. Default: off

4. Your consent
On first visit a cookie banner is shown with explicit choice:
- Accept all — all categories
- Reject all — only necessary
- Detailed choice — pick each category individually
Your choice is saved for 12 months. You can change consent anytime:
- Via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer
- In
Settings → Privacy → Cookiesafter login - By clearing all cookies in your browser (banner shows again)
5. How to disable cookies in your browser
You can block cookies at the browser level. Guides:
Note: blocking all cookies may cause the platform to malfunction (login, cart, invoicing).
6. Third parties
Tandemio integrates selected third-party services that may set their own cookies:
- Stripe — payments (only on checkout / invoice pages); Stripe Cookie Policy
- Cloudflare — CDN, anti-bot; Cloudflare Cookie Policy
- Plausible Analytics — anonymous stats (optional); Plausible Privacy
- YouTube / Vimeo — only when embedding video (click-to-consent)
For each service we have a DPA (Data Processing Agreement) per GDPR Art. 28.
7. Changes to this Policy
We update this Policy when we add new cookies or change their purpose. Changes are published here with the effective date.
For material changes (new marketing cookies) we ask for fresh consent via the banner.
